What St. Ives Medicated Apricot Scrub Can Do For Your Skin!

St. Ives Medicated Apricot Scrub can prevent or reduce wrinkles because it exfoliates away dead skin cells that over time can cause fine lines in your skin and face.

It can also moisturize due to the Kernel Oil. Kernel Oil has moisturizing properties to help keep your skin cells hydrated.

In addition, it tones your skin, much the same way that it reduces the visibility of wrinkles!

Another great benefit is that apricot is a completely natural ingredient. No more ingredient labels that even a scientist can't understand! Just a simple and natural Apricot Scrub!

How To Use This Facial Scrub

1. Moisten face

2. Apply with wet finger tips or sponge cloth

3. Massage into skin for about one minute

4. Rinse well

5. Pat dry with a towel or washcloth

How The Apricot Scrub Works!

The St. Ives Medicated Apricot Scrub works its wonders by a lovely little ingredient called Salicylic Acid. The Salicylic Acid works like an exfoliant and promotes the removal of dead skin cells from inside the cell.

It has an amazing ability to penetrate a pore or any follicle (opening) in the surface of the skin, which means that it gets inside your skin before any dirt or bacteria can beat it to the punch. It should be used with caution though because even a small dose (like 2% in the St. Ives Medicated Apricot Scrub can dry skin if used excessively.)

The ingredient is not a "one time use and it's gone for good!" product. If you stop using the product, it will, like any other acne product, stop working and the acne may return. The good news about it is that users rarely experience any itchiness, like they would with a product that contained Glycerin (like Clearasil Oil-Free Daily Face Wash). Glycerin works in a completely different way, and also has it's benefits to clearing skin. The Problem With Exfoliation

Exfoliating your skin is one of the easiest and healthiest things you can do to bring out a healthy glow and help your younger skin cells breathe. So why does exfoliating get a bad reputation? Over exfoliation may cause dry skin, flakiness, and irritation, so limit the times you exfoliate to 2-3 times a week, or 1 a week if you have sensitive skin. Experiment with your skin type, see what works best.

Bottom Line Review

I would recommend this product for any skin type! It really is wonderful. I've been using it for a few months now and every time I use it my skin feels refreshed and just emanates a healthy glow all over. The granules in the scrub may feel rough to some, but they really aren't a bother, I actually like the bigger granules because they exfoliate better, and anybody that lives in cold weather can appreciate the benefits of this product. I did a little research online and counted my own vote in, and overall consumers gave this product 4.5 stars out of 5!
