Best Swimwear For Your Body

------------------------------------------------

We all know what a hassle it can be to go shopping for swimsuits. There's price, color, size (most likely the WRONG size), style, shape, material, trend, and most importantly finding the one that highlights what you LOVE and hides what you don't! Whether you are considering a bikini, tankini, monokini, swimskirt, one-piece, cutouts and more, you're sure to find one for you!

So amids all the chaos and mass varieties of swimsuits out there, how do you find one that will make your body look the best? You've worked on getting the perfect shape for swimsuit season, and now you need to find one that will flatter that shape. Perhaps you haven't worked on your fizique that much and now, it's time for a last minute save! No worries, whether flat butt, big thighs, or curvy belly, I've got you covered, with Summer's hottest and trendiest swimsuits of the season!

If you have: A Curvy Tummy

If you're a naturally curvy girl (congrats, curves are sooo feminine!) You'll want something to cover your stomach, while flattering your sexy curves, your best bet is to go with an allover swimsuit or a tankini in a cute and trendy floral pattern or a sexy animal print (both styles are in this season). Another option, if you really love a 2-piece, is to try a tummy-covering top, which stops just below your hips. I recommend Old Navy (OldNavy.com) which has a variety of plus size swim suits and a ton of cute swimwear. Victoria's Secret is also a great place for tankinis. Go to www.victoriassecret.comĀ if you don't have a store near you, they have a great selection!

If you have: A Flat Bottom

Ruffles and floral patterns on the bottom piece will visually lift your butt. One of this season's biggest trends is bows. A cute bottom with a bow will seem fun and a big bow will add volume in the back of the swimsuit therefore visually filling out your bottom. On the other hand a smaller bow will just look playful and add a quirky detail, so experiment with size to see what works best. As long as the bottom has some kind of detailing, it will work, try a cute bikini! Another option if you don't like the bow idea is anything that has a pattern on the bottom. Be it florals, ruffles or animal prints, anything but vertical stripes will do (horizontals are a good option, just not vertical!) Also remember that the color white tends to fill us out while the color black recedes and makes us looks skinnier. So let's say you have a big bust and flat bottom. Wear black on top and white on bottom to get a perfect proportion (not to mention elegance! These are 2 no-fail colors!)

If you have: Strong Thighs

When your biggest problem is your thighs, it's time to try a swimskirt. A skimpy bikini might not be best for you but a swimskirt provides the coverage you need without covering up your legs. There is not rule with the patterns or colors on a swimskirt but I would generally avoid white. White emphasizes any extra flab you might have, so unless you are really firm, I don't recommend white as a swimsuit, because it's hard to pull off. But try some plaid patterns (not very "IN", but if you like the style, go for it!) However, if you want to sport something trendier, a bright orange color will look amazing, or any other neon color for that matter.

If you have: A Small Bust

Although many women praise a big chest, consider yourself lucky, because this advantage makes finding a swimsuit 100 times easier, since women with a heavier chest must look for support before any other feature. Ruffles accentuate a chest, but we want to be careful to find the right size. Any ruffles that are one inch, won't do much, so if you're looking just for the cute aspect, go with the one inch! Try a cute bikini! Ruffles that are 2-3 inches in length are ideal! Any longer and they will sag down when you get out of the water dragging your chest right down with them! Contrary to what most magazines advertise, do not purchase a bandeau top, this effect is like duck-taping your chest down. Don't do it. It won't help you.

If you have: A Big Bust

There are 2 ways to go if you have a large bust. In one direction you might want to try a swimsuit or bikini that enhances your bust, or in another direction you will want one that minimizes your bust. Either way you choose to go, one thing is critical: support!

You will need to find a swimsuit or bikini that has under-wire for support, otherwise, running, swimming, bending, walking, volleyball...won't be very pleasant, will hurt your spine and back, and might even be painful. So go for support!

If you want to enhance your bust, anything with ruffles or patterns will do. As long as it has under-wire or another firm band along the bottom of the bikini, you will be good. Make sure you get a size that covers your bust fully as this will be most comfortable.

If you are trying to minimize a large bust, you will need a bandeu top. One that goes across your chest and ties around your neck. Almost like having a folded towel on top of your bust. This will have a "tape" like effect on your chest and should minimize the appearance. Another thing to try is a simple one piece. That is a no-fail way to go if you don't mind the cover up. You'll find some styles that both enhance and minimize your bust, below.

Haha, I didn't really learn anything new here, but I appreciate the language. If you have strong thighs- not big thighs, or curvy legs, or any other euphemism for fat thighs...

I love that show different bathing suits for different body styles, but it would be much more helpful to see them on people with those body styles, not on supermodels. I want to see that it helps to slim a tummy, so putting it on someone who's bones are showing isn't helpful.
